- This is exactly the problem I had with the modem in a Tyan
- Titan III based system. I tried three that all had the same
- failure: Lockup during file transfers. This happened with both
- OS/2 and Win95. The modem remained locked up until a reboot.
- I could transfer up to 30 Kbytes without problems. All problems
- went away when I switched to an external PPI modem. As a plus,
- I could actually send e-mail to support at PPI and get a response
- from a real human within a day.
