  21.     This is exactly the problem I had with the modem in a Tyan
  22.     Titan III based system. I tried three that all had the same
  23.     failure: Lockup during file transfers. This happened with both
  24.     OS/2 and Win95. The modem remained locked up until a reboot.
  25.     I could transfer up to 30 Kbytes without problems. All problems
  26.     went away when I switched to an external PPI modem. As a plus,
  27.     I could actually send e-mail to support at PPI and get a response
  28.     from a real human within a day.
